Black Dog by Led Zeppelin

I think everyone should listen to this song at least once. It is definitely one of my top favorite songs. The first time I listened to this song I thought it was one of the coolest songs I have ever heard. The vocals are strong and intense, but I do not think the main focus of this song is the vocals. I can't quite understand what they are saying in the song, but that's not the point. The best part of this song is the instruments. The electric guitar is amazing and very powerful. The percussion also adds to the power of this song. When I think of classic rock and roll I think of this song. I really love how the song progresses from quite to big and loud. It makes the song more exciting to listen to. I like how the guitar pauses while the vocalist sings and then once the vocalists stops the guitar starts again. It shows the strength in both parts.

Be My Baby

I already know this song, but I love it. It's very cute. It reminds me of many movies I watched as a kid. This song is a classic. It's catchy and repetitive, so it is easy to get stuck in your head.  I love the first beginning notes. I think those first couple claps and drum beats grab your attention. I think that's an important part of a song. I still have the chorus "be my, be my baby," stuck in my head. This song was probably so popular because the only way to get it out of your head is to listen again. It is like an itch you can not scratch, well at least until you actually listen to the song. I love how there is one girl singing for parts and then a whole chorus singing together and harmonizing. I think this adds variety to the song. I like the variety of volumes in the singers as well. They will sing loud with great power of soft and quiet. I am actually listening to this song in my living room and my roommates are singing along. I guess They like it too, w...

Taking A Chance on Love

Right form the beginning of Taking a Chance On Love by Benny Goodman, it grabs your attention with a couple of strong notes from the instruments. I love the different brass instruments. They make the song more lively. It was a full on jazz band so it's loud and powerful. I also really enjoyed the woman singing. her voice was quite beautiful and very graceful. She goes from singing smooth notes to more crisp staccato notes. I like the variety in her voice. I enjoyed the jazz type beat. This beat feels like you could do a little swing to it. I think i would love to go some sort of restaurant and hear this song live. For some reason, these type of songs remind me of movies that are older or that are trying to imitate that retro vibe. Sometimes I wish I could go in a time machine to go relive when different types of music were just becoming popular, such as this song. The only thing i wouldn't want to witness is the racial injustice during that ...

Blue Yodel No. 2

I picked the song blue yodel, by Jimmie Rodgers. This song reminds me of cowboys. I really enjoyed the guitar in this song. The guitar adds to the twang of the song. The guitar doesn't over power the singer, which I like because I think it's a good balance between the two. I think it's catchy, and the yodeling is cool. I could never yodel, but my great grandpa could. This song makes me feel closer to my great grandpa, even though I never met him because he died when my Grammy was young. I really appreciate that this song does that. I think this song would be fun to play around the campfire. I just want to go up to my cabin and get my guitar and play around with this song. This song also reminds me of going to summer camps and gathering around the campfire as my camp leader sang and played his banjo. I guess this song reminds me of a lot of things. I think if a song brings back memories or reminds you of good times, it's classified as a good song. I wo...
